Pfizer Healthcare HubHomePartnershipsPfizer Healthcare HubLaunched in 2017, the ‘Pfizer Healthcare Hub: London’ aims to help innovative digital health companies, who have demonstrated their potential to transform the lives of patients, by connecting them to expertise within Pfizer and its networks in the UK and beyond.

As part of a global network of Pfizer Healthcare Hubs, the UK Hub aims to work with some of the best and brightest health tech start-ups pursuing the vision of transforming people’s lives through innovative solutions to real-world problems.

“We need to get smarter at harnessing and deploying innovation into our health service, which is why big business and digital innovators need to collaborate more closely together.”

Hamish Graham, Healthcare Innovation Manager, Pfizer UK

Around the world people are already accessing health information from different digital resources night and day, and we've seen UK health services accelerate digital transformation enabling more remote consultations and care than ever before. Digital innovation has begun to transform the lives of people with health issues; from monitoring heart rate and blood pressure in real time, to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in patient care, advances in technology are helping patients to live healthier, happier, informed and connected lives.

Pfizer Healthcare Hub 2017

Watch the highlights from our 2017 competitive grant process, where finalists from across the UK were invited to our Surrey head office to present to a panel of Pfizer UK leaders and invited judges.

The three winners (Cera, Echo and GiveVision) each received 12 months support from the Hub and access to a £56,000 grant fund. The Hub worked with experts from across Pfizer, universities, manufacturers, UX Labs, hospitals, and many parts of the UK and global health systems to help the winners reach their objectives.

Pfizer Healthcare Hub 2018

Following the success of the Hub in 2017, we launched the second competitive grant process in April 2018 in search of a new cohort of promising start-ups.

Each of the winners (Medopad, Inhealthcare and Perfect Ward) received 12-months support from the Hub, including access to Pfizer’s network of experts and healthcare partners, a personalised programme of mentoring, consulting and support for marketing and collaborating, as well as access to the £50,000 grant fund.

Note: Pfizer takes no commercial interest in the applicants’ business and will make no claims on their IP. Winners are free to work with any other potential partners, to pursue any investment or exit options they choose with other companies.
