Watch as some of our previous undergraduates share their highlights:

Coming from a science degree into a marketing role I was nervous that it would be difficult to adjust to my role. However, the colleagues I worked with always took the time to educate me on the therapy area, NHS environment and brand strategy. Moreover, the company culture encourages colleagues to continually learn and develop their skills. To facilitate this, Pfizer runs training courses for colleagues and I’ve had the opportunity to complete marketing and leadership courses. The skills developed on these courses have allowed me to execute and assist on projects delivering customer and patient solutions. To say that a project you have worked on has had a direct impact on patients is something I am very proud of and not many placement students can say they’ve had that sort of impact.

Having had such an amazing year at Pfizer I’m delighted to return on the Future Leaders Graduate Programme after completing my University Degree. I look forward to continuing my journey at Pfizer and returning to an amazing company.

Internal Medicines Marketing Undergraduate

Looking back on my time supporting the Hospital business unit as digital undergraduate at Pfizer, I am extremely thankful for the opportunities and experiences presented to me throughout the year. From the very first day, I felt supported and valued by my line manager and wider team; providing a comfortable environment to be able to ask lots of questions and even propose new ideas. I was continuously provided the chance to be involved in a lot of different projects that not only increased my digital repertoire but also provided an opportunity to network with many different colleagues across the business. I was given the autonomy early on to lead on some of these projects that meant I was in control of making impactful decisions, budget planning and the management of internal/external stakeholders. The culture at Pfizer was also a massive positive, as I was able to sign up to the gym, play in the weekly five a side with colleagues and get involved in Pfizer’s STEM ambassador programmes. This year saw me transition from an observer, to an avid contributor of new ideas considering fully the customer need and business impact of such decisions and is an experience I’m proud to take with me on my future career path.

Digital Marketing Undergraduate

My year at Pfizer has led to many holistic opportunities and insights within my department and other business functions. I have worked on multiple executive projects and created numerous ideas for the company. This placement provides you with brilliant support from supervisors, mentors and HR and it equips you for your future career. It's not the tea and coffee run; it's a real professional job.
