Pfizer Healthcare Hub: 2018

Following the success of the Hub in 2017, we launched the second competitive grant process in April 2018 in search of a new cohort of promising start-ups.

The Pfizer Healthcare Hub: London is an initiative which helps companies innovating in the health tech space realise their potential. The Hub is designed to support late stage start-ups to grow and reach more patients and providers faster, by giving access to Pfizer’s network and resources.

Meet the 2018 finalists and find out more about the Pfizer Healthcare Hub: London

In May 2018, 10 finalists from across the UK were invited to our head office in Surrey to present to a panel of Pfizer UK leaders and invited judges including Vice President of the University of Swansea, Prof. Marc Clement and Chief Clinical Information Officer at Taunton & Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, Dr Luke Gompels.

We later announced Medopad, Perfect Ward and Inhealthcare had been selected as this year’s winners.

Medopad - a platform to help patients capture and share their experience and outcomes of care from trials to the clinic.

Inhealthcare - enables the NHS to deliver more care outside of hospitals to reduce pressures on overstretched NHS services.

Perfect Ward - a simple inspection tool to enable NHS teams to monitor and track their performance against CQC criteria.

From July 2018, each of the winners will receive 12-months support from the Hub, including access to Pfizer’s network of experts and healthcare partners, a personalised programme of mentoring, consulting and support for marketing and collaborating, as well as access to the £50,000 grant fund.

Pfizer will take no commercial interest in the applicants’ business and will make no claims on their IP. Winners are free to work with any other potential partners, to pursue any investment or exit options they choose with other companies.
