Understanding Practice Based Commissioning in Primary Care

Workshop Duration:
Half day - theory.


- This workshop is suitable for healthcare professionals and managers working in primary care in a GP surgery or community setting.


- Delegates will understand what Practice Based Commissioning (PBC) is and how it might impact on the way patient care services are delivered in primary care. They will look at how PBC might be used locally and how a specific, locally redesigned and commissioned service could deliver a more patient focussed, efficient and/or cost effective service to patients in their local area.


- Workshop attendance will benefit the NHS by driving a greater understanding of the opportunities to improve patient care through PBC.
