Diabetes UK provides practical support and information to help people manage their diabetes. The organisation campaigns for better standards of care and funds research into better treatments for diabetes. Through these types of activities Diabetes UK aims to improve the lives of people with Diabetes.

Pfizer has supported and worked with Diabetes UK on a range of projects. These have included:

• ChoLESSterol national disease awareness campaign partnership.
• Support for the Diabetes UK Annual Professional Conference in March 2007.
• The development of educational materials for people with diabetes and their health care professionals.

Pfizer provided additional support to Diabetes UK to cover the reprinting of their Treating Diabetes with Insulin leaflet following the market withdrawal of inhaled insulin.

Pfizer sponsored the charity's Diabetic Neuropathy Booklet and assisted with distributing 12,000 additional copies to healthcare professionals.
