The Alzheimer's Society raises awareness of dementia and provides a range of care and support services for people who have dementia, their families and carers. The Society also funds medical and scientific research.
Together, Pfizer and Eisai made a joint donation to the Alzheimer's Society to support a regional Worried About Your Memory disease awareness campaign. Pfizer and Eisai ran a dementia awareness roadshow across 10 towns and cities in October and November 2007, for which the Alzheimer’s Society agreed use of its WAYM campaign branding and in return, its local branches had the opportunity to provide information and support to roadshow visitors. Pfizer and Eisai paid for any Alzheimer’s Society publications made available on the trailer including Welsh language materials for the Cardiff visit.
Pfizer also made a donation to the Alzheimer's Society in lieu of corporate Christmas cards and provided basic printing services as a gift in kind.
